The Cuxhaven coastline is as diverse as the location’s advantages as an economic hub. We handle the nationwide marketing of our city—particularly in key and growth industries—with the goal of attracting businesses, recruiting skilled workers, and boosting competitiveness.
We rely on strategic measures to strengthen the city’s identity, brand development, and communication.
However, successful location marketing also requires a presence and activities across various media channels. In recent years, the Economic Development Agency has carried out numerous marketing campaigns with positive results.
Our public relations efforts and advertising in traditional media have consistently and successfully brought Cuxhaven into the public spotlight—the cornerstone of brand promotion and image management. Film productions—including those focusing on the fishing industry, offshore sector, and retail—as well as a promotional film about the city of Cuxhaven have served as our flagship initiatives.
In parallel with these broad-based campaigns, we were able to create strong impressions and several highlights in the business world through targeted measures, such as tenders and competitions, trade show activities, and event marketing.
