At the center of Germany’s North Sea coast, direct on the Elbe and Weser rivers, Cuxhaven County is situated. With around 205,000 inhabitants and an area of 2,072 square km, the country is one of the largest in Lower Saxony. The city of Cuxhaven (population 52,000), home of the county headquarter, is the economic center of the northern municipalities. The neighbouring city of Bremerhaven serves as a further regional center.
